Skorpion vz.68

The Skorpion is an early Cold War era sub machine gun of Czechoslovak origin.
The Skorpion was designed to be no more cumbersome than a pistol. The layout is similar to the ancient Mauser C.96 Broomhandle pistol, which was also produced in automatic versions. The magazine is inserted just in front of the trigger guard and the weapon does not extend beyond the pistol grip.

Vz 68
Export model chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. This has a longer receiver to increase the bolt mass for use with the more powerful cartridge. Prototypes made with metal wire folding stock and fixed wooden stock.
